Less time formatting handouts. More time treating.
HEP Studio exists because prescribing a home program shouldn't take longer than explaining it.
Why we built it
Most clinicians assemble home exercise programs the hard way: copying images into documents, retyping the same instructions, printing packets that get lost by the second visit. The tools that do exist are often bloated EMR add-ons priced for hospital systems, or consumer apps that ask patients to create yet another account they'll never use.
HEP Studio is deliberately narrow: build a program from a solid exercise library, get it to the patient in whatever form works for them — a guided session on their phone, a QR code on a printout, a clean handout on the fridge — and get back to treating. That's the whole product, and it's fast.
Privacy as a design constraint
We made one architectural decision early that shapes everything: HEP Studio stores zero patient health information. Patients are represented by a therapist-chosen alias and an unguessable share token — never by names, contact details, or records. Patients don't create accounts, so there are no patient credentials to steal and no PHI to breach.
For clinics, that means the compliance conversation is short. For patients, it means opening a home program is as easy as opening a web page.
Who's behind it
HEP Studio is built and operated by David Crawford, an independent software developer based in Orlando, Florida. Small team, direct support: questions and feedback go straight to the person who builds the product at support@hepstudio.app.
